This is something I get asked all the time, especially from people who’ve done online courses elsewhere before.
A lot of online courses from different academies are very drawn out. They send you bits over time, you complete a module, wait for feedback, move on, then wait again. Before you know it, it has taken six months or even a year and you still haven’t launched your business.
That’s exactly what I didn’t want to create. With my training, it’s not like that at all.
The easiest way to understand it is to compare it to the in-person version. If you came to me in London for the three-day course, you’d be doing around seven hours of learning a day. That’s about 21 hours of theory in total.
That is the same amount of content you’re getting online. So, in terms of actual learning time, it’s completely doable in a short space of time.
The difference is that online training is done in your own time. Some people move through it quickly. Others spread it out because they’re fitting it around work, children, or everyday life. So online can take longer, but not because the course is longer — just because of how you choose to pace it.
Alongside the theory, I’ll also be setting you tasks. You complete them, send them back, and I give you feedback. Sometimes I’ll ask you to redo something if I don’t think it’s quite right yet, so there’s a proper back-and-forth between us. That’s where the real learning happens.
People often think online means you’ll just be emailing back and forth and left to get on with it alone. That’s not how I work. We’re in constant contact. You’ll be messaging me on WhatsApp, sending things through, asking questions as you go, and I’m there on the phone too.
So even though it’s online, it doesn’t feel like you’re doing it alone. If you’re serious and consistent, I’d say a month is a good time frame to aim for before you start charging for your services. You can go slower or quicker if needed, but the main thing is to keep the momentum going.
