How times have changed. When I became a Colour Analyst (a long time ago) I knew just how amazing a service it was, but at that time I had to almost convince my Personal Styling clients to have it done. Roll forward nearly 20 years and my phone doesn’t stop ringing with Colour Analysis enquiries. Why? because Colour Analysis is trending and by trending, I mean it’s been made big on TikTok and Instagram.
So, I guess it’s all thanks to the iPhone. Constant scrolling, seeing women’s complexion go from good to bad purely based on the colours they’re wearing has got people fascinated. And when people are fascinated, they are willing to pay for it, so being a Colour Analyst is now a very lucrative career.
Women are obsessed with looking younger and are constantly looking for the next solution, so when we can visually show a women’s, dark circles improving and jowls getting firmer or complexion looking clearer just by wearing the right colours close to their face others will naturally want to know their ‘colours’ too.
But back to the iPhone and more specifically WhatsApp, don’t underestimate its power when building your Colour Analysis business. Let me explain, imagine you’ve just had your colours done and whilst you’ve gone through the session your Colour Analyst has taken photos of you in both the correct and unflattering colour palettes. She intentionally taken the photos on your phone, so you have them there as a reference point. By the end of the session, you’re in awe of the power of the right and wrong colours and it’s all too evident to see on the photos.
At the end of the session, you naturally want to share this magic with all your close girlfriends and family. Full of enthusiasm you send them to your various WhatsApp groups and because the photos are so convincing, they all want It done too!! This is exactly how my Colour Analysis business has quadrupled. Note there is no social media required, this is the classic word of mouth business model in action! Give it an hour or two and my next client (her recommendation) has already booked in a session with me.
There are so many ways to make money as a Colour Analyst and this is what you’ll learn by doing the Colour Analysis training with me. Just use your imagination, Colour Parties for Hen do’s, pampering parties for girls going to a prom, bridal dress shopping parties. Girls of all ages don’t need an excuse to get together and add a bit of prosecco and you’ve not only created a great day out but probably upsold to another party or another one of your services.
When we do your business plan at Style ME Training, we brainstorm ideas for you to get in from of your target audience and with all my years of experience, I will advise on the correct execution and pricing, from colour parties, to office incentives to collaborations…trust me I’ve been there and done it all!
