This is something I get asked all the time, and the answer is yes, absolutely.
I have people travelling from all over the world to train with me in London — Dubai, India, Kuwait, Australia and beyond — and I completely understand why. London has that reputation. It’s a global fashion capital, and being able to say you trained here does give you an extra level of credibility when you go home and start building your business.
But before you jump on a flight, it’s important to have a plan.
The first thing I always say is get clear on what you want to offer. Do you want to focus on colour analysis, wardrobe styling, personal shopping, or all of it? Do you want to work with women, men, or both? The clearer you are on this, the easier it is for me to guide you.
The next step is choosing the right training. It’s not enough to just say, “I trained in London.” You want proper, accredited training that gives you real skills and confidence. If you’re investing in flights, accommodation and time, it needs to be worth it.
That’s why most of my international delegates choose the 5-day intensive course. It’s completed in one week, which keeps things simple from a visa point of view and means you can fully immerse yourself and then go home ready to get started.
During that week, you’re learning colour analysis, wardrobe styling, personal shopping, menswear and business planning, and you’re applying it in real time too. And importantly, you’ve got ongoing support from me afterwards.
If English isn’t your first language, that’s absolutely fine. A lot of my delegates are international, and if you’d prefer a slower pace or something more tailored, we can always look at one-to-one training. And if travel isn’t possible, you can also train online either via the downloadable course option or doing it live via Zoom.
I also help with the practical side, including accommodation near the training location, so you’re not left trying to figure it all out alone.
And one thing I always say though is bring a bigger suitcase. Most people end up having a bit of a makeover while they’re here, so it’s very hard not to shop!
