Ask anybody who’s left the rat race, “what do you love about your new self-employed life?” I can almost guarantee ‘flexibility’ will be on top of the list. Flexibility to work around their relationships, kids, social life, gym classes, even the weather! It’s been 10 years since I’ve left the corporate world behind and I’m still so grateful that I now get to choose how I’m going to spend my day; some days I might work through the night and some weeks I don’t work at all! I 100% value flexibility, knowing that I’m more productive because of it.
At Style ME Training, once I started offering ‘one to one’ training, I was so happy to be able to offer that same flexibility to my delegates. Some needed to start the day earlier or later and some preferred to work shorter or longer days and I was more than happy to facilitate that.
Now more than ever, during this pandemic I’m having to be flexible. Delegates are fitting in their training whilst still ‘technically’ being at work; to avoid having to take the days off as holiday. I’ve been training them earlier or later in the day and they’ve been doing their practical tasks during the weekend or later at night. Interestingly no one has complained that they’re tired, in fact it’s the opposite, they’re saying they’re full of energy and enthusiasm. This I know is the adrenaline that comes from working on something you love!
But it’s not only ‘time’ I’m being flexible on. I’m completely flexible on the course content too. Take for example, our 5 Day Intensive Training Course. During lockdown I’ve been training delegates ‘virtually’ for most of it whilst postponing the practical Colour Analysis sessions and photoshoot until lockdown is over. It’s actually been really beneficial because delegates have been able to hone-in their skillset on Personal Shopping and Wardrobe Styling without getting over-whelmed with Colour Analysis.
I pride myself in being able to offer bespoke training options. Some people, for example might see the 5-day Intensive Training course and think:
- “I love the sound of all of it but I really don’t want to do Men’s styling.”
- “I love it but I actually only want to style men!”
- “I want to do all of it but I don’t need the mentoring.”
- “ I don’t want to do the photoshoot.”
- “I want mentoring but I don’t need help in branding.”
And that’s absolutely fine. This is why I urge anyone who’s interested to drop me an email, so we can arrange a call to find out your individual needs and then hopefully tailor make a course that fits you and your needs perfectly! Or maybe you’re just confused not even knowing what you need or want, a proper chat with me will without doubt help identify the right direction for you.
