This is such an important question, and honestly, it’s one I’d much rather talk through with you than have you try to guess on your own. What I pride myself on at Style ME Training is that there isn’t just one course that fits everyone — there’s a course that’s right for you.
When I did my own training, I had to go to different academies for different modules. Although that was interesting, it was also really confusing. Every academy had a different opinion and a different way of doing things. Sometimes they even contradicted each other. You’d come away thinking, “Well… which one is right?”
That’s why I wanted my academy to be a one-stop shop. Everything taught in one place, in one way, so it all makes sense and flows properly.
In terms of options, there are a few different routes.
The Intensive Training Course is five days plus and is the full package. You learn womenswear, menswear, colour analysis, wardrobe styling, personal shopping, business planning and branding, and you also get ongoing mentoring afterwards. Your profile gets added to our stylist database too. This is ideal if you want the full knowledge and want to build a proper business with a hand holding experience.
Then there’s the 3 Day Essential Training Course. This covers the three core skills — colour analysis, wardrobe styling and personal shopping — and focuses on womenswear. It gives you the main tools, but without the ongoing mentoring afterwards.
After that, you’ve got the option to do individual courses/ modules. For example, a lot of people choose the one-day Train to be a Colour Analyst course on its own. That’s usually because they already have a business like a boutique or maybe they’re a hairdresser or makeup artist and they just want to add colour analysis as an additional service.
You can also mix and match. The more modules you add, the better the value, so a lot of people build their training up that way. I’m not here to sell you things you don’t need. You can always start with one course and build from there.
We can also do things more flexibly. It doesn’t have to be group training — we can do one-to-one, bespoke options, and the ever-popular downloadable masterclass format that you can work through in your own time.
The main thing I’d say is this — don’t overthink it on your own. I’m not big on long email chains. I’d much rather you pick up the phone and have a chat with me. From that first conversation all the way through to your training, it’s only me you’ll be speaking to. I get to know what you want, what your goals are, and I’ll guide you to the course that actually makes sense for you.
