Style ME Training

How would you like to be a stylish fairy Godmother to your Personal Styling clients? Clients who want an outfit for a night out but haven’t got a clue where to start? Perhaps their party dresses no longer fit (blame it on Covid) or despite having loads of clothes they’re complaining they can’t find anything to wear? Maybe you’re used to providing this service to your friends and family. Do you love putting ensembles together and the praise you receive for rescuing your friends last minute?

This is what it’s like for us Personal Stylists, only difference is; we get paid to do it. I’m so used to the calls of panic that start coming at this time of year and the best part is that I don’t even have to leave my house, most of my styling can be done virtually. There’s so much more choice when shopping online and more sizes available. December is a busy time for everyone, so a virtual shop suits the client as much as me, with next day deliveries and free returns making it all feasible.

This is a skill however that has to be learnt, there would be nothing worse for the client and your reputation than sending/selecting your client clothes that don’t fit or flatter her shape or worse, that are totally inappropriate for the invitation. Our job as Personal Stylists is to never let our client down. Think of the relationship between the Fairy Godmother and Cinderella, trust is a word that comes to mind. The fairy Godmother knew exactly what dress to put Cinderella in, in order to become a head turner, captivating her audience.

What I love most though about this kind of styling is that I get a chance to be really creative. All the looks I’d love to wear but know won’t suit my shape or my colouring are what I love to put on clients that have different body shape or to mine or colour season to me. I remember watching Cinderella as a little girl, dressing up my Barbies and Sindy’s in different looks, little did I know I’d be doing it for a living in years to come.

If you too feel you were born to be a Stylist don’t hesitate, book on one of our training courses in the New Year.
