Is a career in Personal Styling for Me?

Hi and welcome to Style ME Training. I’m Nisha, founder of Style ME. I’m so pleased that you’ve found us. So how did you get here? I’m sure like so many other women that were once in your position you’ve been looking for a new career and for some reason or the other a future career as a Personal Stylist is getting you excited and you’re beginning to think that this may be your ‘calling’. Perhaps it’s because you simply love fashion and shopping or maybe it’s because you’re the one your friends and family turn to for styling advice?

I remember my time well, my Finance Director boss totally randomly asked me to style him, because in the office I was known as the ‘stylish’ one and when he paid me with a pair of Jimmy Choos I was literally gobsmacked as I was happy to have styled him for free! I didn’t even know there was such a career as a Personal Stylist (this was 2003!) I was given a strong sign that it was for me and the rest as they say is history.

I would strongly advise before you decide if Personal styling is for you, let me guide you to see if this really is the career step that’s right for you. It’s best to find out as early as possible rather than wasting your precious time and money.
