Ask anyone, the course I’m most proud of is the 5-day Intensive Training Course, Why? Because it teaches delegates everything they need to know to become a successful personal stylist: Colour Analysis, Personal Shopping, Wardrobe Styling, Menswear, Branding, Business Planning all covered in one intensive week followed by ongoing mentoring. This course definitely in my opinion taught anyone all they needed to know if they were serious about becoming a Personal Stylist and I was proud to be able to deliver it.
But with the arrival of Covid 19, the personal styling industry changed overnight! The industry hasn’t died, it’s just been transformed (temporarily) into a ‘virtual’ industry. People still want styling advice from experts, on what to buy, on what suits them etc but because of the safety measures in place, where we can’t even try on clothes in stores and that combined with massive queues, clients rather have a stylist shop for them online.
Luckily I’ve been styling people virtually for years, our unique Style ME Formula is genius and enables me to accurately style people around the world virtually. This formula is what I teach my virtual styling delegates on the Train to be a Virtual Stylist course. There are plenty of clients and delegates who actually prefer to style virtually rather than travel to a limited number of stores and waste time rummaging through rails looking for the correct sizes!
But until now I never thought to add virtual styling onto our Intensive Train to be a Personal Stylist course! The one thing all of us personal stylists have to be right now is flexible and as a trainer I am adapting my training to these changing times. Now I’ve added the Train to be a Virtual Stylist on to the 5 day Intensive Training Course, I’m even prouder of the Intensive course. This module will remain on the 5 day course because even after Covid 19 when things resume to some kind of normal, virtual styling will still be a firm request and I believe every buddy stylist should know how to do it!
